Job Description
The role will include designing, configuring, programming, testing and commissioning automation & SCADA systems, process control networks, industrial communications systems, instrumentation and other programmable industrial devices across a variety of industries.
Automation/SCADA System Design
System design and specification (including industrial networks, automation equipment, SCADA, instrumentation and control equipment) with an awareness of ISA95 compliant architectures
Development of functional description documentation for Automation/SCADA systems
Design and implementation of industrial networking solutions with an awareness of modern network maturity models
Automation/SCADA system troubleshooting (including provision of operational support)
Developing Changeover Plans for Brownfield Control System upgrades
Control system FAT, SAT & Commissioning
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position, you will have the following:
Demonstrated understanding of applicable standards, codes, best practices and how to apply these.
Proven technical experience in Mining and Minerals, Oil and Gas, Renewables, Power Generation or similar industries
Australian recognised engineering degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Systems Engineering or similar and be working towards your Chartered status, if not already achieved.
Great attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills and technical calculation abilities.
A requirement for this role is to complete a satisfactory pre-employment medical and Australian police clearance.
