Job Description
Our Graduate program provides hands-on experience where you will work on real projects and be provided with practical learning in a professional environment. You will be under the guidance of experienced Mechanical engineers and may work on multiple projects in a variety of industries. The work you do will be valuable for the completion of the projects and you will be encouraged to take ownership of the work you are doing. You will be a valued member of both the Mechanical team and project teams, working with multiple disciplines. Tasks our Graduates are exposed to typically include:
Facility design across a range of industries for the conditioning or processing of various fluids and gases
Preparing engineering documents such as reports, equipment specifications, datasheets, scopes of work
Completing calculations in accordance with piping design codes
Undertaking stress analysis of piping systems using Caesar II software
Interpreting and marking up P&IDs (Piping & instrumentation diagrams)
Guiding mechanical drafters throughout the 3D model and design development
Attendance at design reviews and risk workshops
Assisting in the running and management of an engineering team
The GPA Graduate Program is a three-year, full-time, in-service program, aimed to develop technical, safety and soft skills through a variety of structured and on the job learning opportunities. GPA’s Graduate Program is open to engineering graduates, Australia-wide.

Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Applicants can be recent graduates or graduating in 2025).
